It is a relatively recent approach to exploit mobile technology and internet-based vocabulary teaching programs to teach vocabulary. In the present period, many vocabulary-learning applications for cell phones, tablets, and laptops have been developed. First Vocabulary is taught via computer games and activities when computers have started to be used in the classrooms during Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) process. With technology improvements, vocabulary teaching practices have improved. With flashes and pictures, the kids were taught words in context. Words were previously taught alongside their translation or synonym, and the teaching strategy was Grammar-translation however, as the teaching method has evolved and the Communicative Approach has gained traction, the vocabulary teaching method has evolved as well. In the language teaching process, many different strategies have been used, and new ones are being developed all the time. Vocabulary teaching approaches have altered far too much in the language acquisition process. When learning a new language, having a big vocabulary helps with receiving and producing messages, as well as supporting four basic skills of language. One of the crucial aspects of language is vocabulary. And finally for future researchers, researchers recommend using the same research using different learning application objects with more correspondents in order to make more complex research. For students, researchers suggest using Duolingo as a learning medium to improve English language skills. Reaction from this research are expected that the lecturers consider English learning media using Duolingo to motivate students. The results of this study researchers hope to be of benefit to teachers, students, the application development team, and future researchers. To solve this problem, application developers have to create better forms of material that are more equivalent to the student level. The problem with some of the material on Duolingo is too easy for students. Furthermore, the results of this study also reveal problems commonly encountered by students through digital media. Next, the results of this study showed that the two respondents from the interview tended to keep using Duolingo as a medium for learning English. The results of this study also reveal that learning English using Duolingo on Android is interesting to motivate students who have no interest in learning English. Students note that the Duolingo app is easy to use. The results of this study indicate that students have supportive perceptions of the Duolingo application as a medium for learning English in Android. Research participants for the test (evacuation) were 10 students. The instrument used by the test researcher (evacuation). By combining descriptive (quantitative and qualitative) methods ,all data were obtained through one instrument. Therefore, the problem of this study is "how to improve student learning by using Duolingo as a medium for learning English in android".
